Throughout the past week I have been doing various Fringe festival events.
On Saturday I went to The Poppy Whorer Picture Show and The Bread Cycle. On Sunday I went to Big Chick Energy: My Best Friend’s Sketch Show and ALL Paths Lead to the Road Less Gravelled. On Monday I was able to go to Nook & Cranny: Twin Detectives sadly on Tuesday I wasn't able to catch any shows, but I was able to see Commedia delle Stelle on Wednesday.
Thursday was carnival washout because both of my parents were sick, so I had to take care of them but on Friday I was able to go to The Westdale and try the special fringe drink there. It was kind of like a lemonade slushy mixed drink with a bit of a kick to it.
I didn't take any pictures, you weren't allowed to take any pictures in the theaters, so I made this.

Also, I took a picture of the button for you.

The Poppy Whorer Picture Show -This one was a hilarious take on The Rocky Horror Picture Show, they were singing and dancing there's a whole musical number and the costumes were great I've specially liked the one girl's costume would be double breasted with the powder blue and pink double-breasted coat. The story revolved around these two people that wanted to have sex changes and the practice they went to which was full of cannibals. I really love this show, if it ever comes around again, I would highly recommend you go see it. | The Bread Cycle -This one was pretty fun, it started off with our main character in a park full of eclectic people, and then we went into a grocery store where the main character was one of the workers there so I started thinking this was a play that should have been called work of the strange town but then we had another transition where the main character was a business man so I started to think it was a dream. I won't give away the ending that recommend going to see it if you get the chance. | Big Chick Energy: My Best Friend’s Sketch Show -Great and super funny sketches throughout the show and only two of them didn't make me laugh because I wasn't understanding them, that is until the very end of them. I'm not going to give away any of the individual sketches but I would recommend going to it if you ever get the chance to see it. |
ALL Paths Lead to the Road Less Gravelled -I didn't really like this one that much because it was a retelling of this person’s life story, and it was more of a drama than a comedy, it also felt like it was supposed to be a tragedy. | Nook & Cranny: Twin Detectives -This one was hilarious, there were only two actors for multiple parts, so they were both jumping into different parts and then back to their main characters. This one was about reuniting these twin detectives after they went their separate ways years ago, Oh yeah and a murderer and drug smuggling ring. I would recommend it if it ever comes back. | Commedia delle Stelle -Commedia delle Stelle Means comedy of the stars in Spanish he was an improv show of one of the Star Trek the original series episodes. It was pretty fun, there was audience participation and since the improv ran short they did a fast forwarded version of the show which I thought was kind of funny. |
